How to Change Windows Vista Default Browser
If you use Windows Vista but would like to change Internet Explorer to be your default browser, then these settings are for you.

There are two ways (that I know) to do this. The fist one is once you open your preferred browser you'll get a notification that asks you if you want to change this browser to your default browser, select 'YES' and it will become automatically your default browser. If that doesn't work you can do it manually by following the steps.
Increase Windows XP boot time
Increase Windows XP boot time
The StartupDelay Controls the time delay after a system startup before Indexing Service. This tweak does not disable anything, it just removes the unnecessary wait time.

Notes from video:
Navigate and expand in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ ContentIndex.

Change the Decimal value of the Startupdelay key to 40000 and restart the PC. You should notice a bootup that takes less time.
